What We Believe
Our Beliefs
Articles of Faith
The most important thing about a church is what it believes. Historically, churches have used creeds and confessions of faith to summarize biblical teaching and clearly identify what they believe. All of our members embrace the biblical and historic Christian faith as articulated in the Apostles’ Creed.
We have also adopted a revised version of the New Hampshire Confession (1853) and the London Confession (1689) as our doctrinal standards, meaning that our elders teach in accordance with these confessions and our members sincerely agree to learn from everything taught therein.
Membership Covenant
While our articles of faith summarize what we believe and teach, our membership covenant summarizes how we intend to live together. Our acceptance of this covenant follows the practice of believers throughout the centuries who have pledged to God and one another to live out the gospel in community.
Core Commitments
Our core commitments reflect immovable aspects of our church life together and describe our doctrinal and philosophical emphasis as to how we function as a church.
